About

A sea-ice-dependent penguin that nests in typically large colonies on ice-free rocky coasts. It feeds mainly on krill and fish, diving to a maximum of 150-180 m, though most foraging is within 30 m of the surface. After breeding, adults move into the pack ice up to 1,000-2,500 km from their colonies.
